FT11
When the amount of timber you transport each year exceeds one thousand solid m3, FT11 is the right choice for your log trailer. The single-beam trailer’s carrying capacity is 11 tonnes. The standard package includes 3 beam pairs, removable banks and a bogie. Load compartment length is 4.0 m and the load area is 2.4 m2. As much specially manufactured steel as possible has been used in manufacturing the trailer.
You can initially purchase FT11 without 4WD equipment as the 4WD system can be retrofitted to the same standard trailer. However, you should choose tyres suitable for a roller drive when purchasing a trailer.
The FT11 model is a great fit for the transportation of energy wood and tree trimmings. It can be moved easily in narrow spaces in a trimmed forest. The standard equipment includes 500/55-17 ELS tractor pattern tyre, with which the trailer’s width is only 229 cm. 550/45-22.5 tyre is also available as an option. The 8-bolt hubs and bogie beams for the FT13 trailer model are used in the FT11.
More power and agility with 4WD equipment
FT11 4WD is a trailer equipped with a friction roller system (hydraulic engine + roller) where 4WD is used as an additional load carrying system activated in difficult conditions. 4WD provides significant help in crossing trenches, mounds and slopes, passing tree stumps and other similar obstacles, as well as on soft terrain.
4WD is used with either tractor hydraulics or a separate hydraulic unit. The oil requirement is around 50 litres. With tractor hydraulics, the tractive force is 1.7 kN, and the tractor must have a double-function lever with a float position. If the float position is missing, an external mechanical or electronic control valve is needed.
Tractive force is higher with a separate hydraulic unit at 1.9 kN. Pulling control is carried out with an electronic or mechanical control valve.
